Ordering in Mandarin Chinese

Measure Words - Just like English, Chinese has measure words. We say things like, a "piece" of cake, a "slice" of pie, a "cup" of water, and a "can" of beer. The Chinese just happen to use them much more than we do. They hardly ever say a number without a measure word following it. 
份  fèn  order (n.), portion, share
位  wèi  measure word for people, seats, guests
四位  sìwèi  four people


我  wǒ  I, me
我们  wǒmen  we, us 
要  yào  want


我要一份宫保鸡丁。  wǒ yào yī fèn gōngbǎo jīdīng.  I want one order of kung pao chicken.

我们要两份酸辣土豆丝。  wǒmen yào liǎng fèn suānlà tǔdòusī.  We want two orders of hot and sour potato strips.
